Hi,

my name is Vadim.

‘Today, there is a trend towards designing everything in a fancy way and incorporating lots of technical innovations into mass production. This is often done without considering whether it is necessary or sustainable, or taking a human-centred design approach. Good user experience and user interface design are important in creating complex service ecosystems. As a designer, I also see it as my responsibility to identify and address challenging problems and questions, and to develop effective and sustainable solutions.’

That’s me

I am a problem solver at heart, dedicated to finding the best way to solve complex problems in the most seamless manner.

Even as a teenager, I enjoyed taking technical devices apart and later putting computers together myself. I was also enthusiastic about graphics and layout programmes from an early age. So, my interest in technology and design began at an early age, but it took me a while to fully grasp the diversity of the digital economy and the current role of a designer.

After completing an apprenticeship as a media designer, I gained practical experience in the media industry before deciding to study interface and interaction design at Potsdam University of Applied Sciences. I then started working as a UX designer and concept developer at OSK Berlin, which was still a small ‘software forge’ at that time. Today, after five years, several company transformations and a short creative break, I am ready for new challenges and a new professional home.

One of my central interests is ‘human-centred design’, as it aligns with my approach: people — especially users of digital products — are at the heart of what I do. As a designer, I see myself as a mediator between technology and user needs.

Interdisciplinarity is crucial to me, particularly when designing digital solutions. Having a broad understanding of various specialist areas helps me grasp complex requirements and develop user-oriented digital products and services.
